Welcome to ConvertStitches (https://convertstitches.com). By accessing, browsing, or purchasing services through this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using our file conversion utility.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of ConvertStitches immediately.

1. Description of Service

ConvertStitches provides an in-browser digital conversion service designed for machine embroidery, apparel decoration, and craft cutting. Our utility enables users to convert, preview, and extract embroidery and vector formats (including .PES, .DST, and .SVG).

  • Client-Side Execution: All parsing, rendering, and file encoding are executed locally inside your web browser via client-side JavaScript.
  • Zero Remote Storage: Your files are processed entirely in local memory and are never uploaded, stored, copied, or archived on remote servers or third-party cloud infrastructure.

2. Digital Purchases & Delivery

  • Pricing & Payment: Conversions are provided on a one-time fee basis ($2.49 USD per converted download, unless otherwise discounted via an authorized promotional coupon). Payments are securely processed through Stripe.
  • Instant Delivery: Fulfillment occurs instantly in your browser via an automated download prompt upon successful completion of the Stripe checkout sequence.
  • Session Lifetime: Because files are processed locally and stored temporarily in browser session storage (sessionStorage), clearing your browser cache, closing your browser tab, or navigating away prior to download fulfillment may terminate the session.

3. File Ownership & Intellectual Property

  • Your Content: You retain full ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights to any design, file, or artwork you input into ConvertStitches. ConvertStitches claims no ownership over your source files or converted outputs.
  • Permitted Use: Converted files may be used for both personal and commercial manufacturing, apparel embroidery, cutting machine production, and physical merchandising.
  • Your Representations: You represent and warrant that you own or possess the necessary licenses, rights, or permissions to digitize, convert, and produce the designs you submit. You agree not to use ConvertStitches to infringe upon any third-party trademark, copyright, or proprietary right.

4. Software & Site Rights

All layout, software code, binary parsers, logos, graphics, and website materials comprising ConvertStitches are the exclusive property of ConvertStitches and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or automate extraction of our client-side parsing code without prior written consent.

5. Third-Party Trademarks

Brother, Tajima, Baby Lock, Janome, Melco, Cricut, Silhouette, and any other machine or format brands mentioned on ConvertStitches are registered trademarks of their respective owners. ConvertStitches is an independent software tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these companies. Format references are used strictly for compatibility identification.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

ConvertStitches is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While our binary parsers and encoders strive for maximum stitch-coordinate fidelity across target formats, we do not warrant that:

  • The converted files will be entirely free of machine trimming, jump-stitch anomalies, or tension differences across every physical embroidery machine model.
  • The website service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with obsolete or corrupted third-party file structures.

Pre-Production Test Recommendation: As standard industry best practice in machine embroidery and laser cutting, you agree to run a physical test stitch-out or cut sample on scrap material before initiating full production runs.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ConvertStitches and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to material waste, machine downtime, damaged garments, lost profits, or lost data.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website following changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
